Your data, in plain words
Two parts: what this demo actually does with your data (almost nothing), and how Hither would handle it as a real service.
This demo
True for this site today
Hither is a product concept by Be Confidency. There are no accounts, no real payments and no analytics or tracking. Nothing you type or tap here is sent to a server.
To make the demo feel real, a few things are kept in your own browser, and only there:
- hither:demo: Saved nights, who you follow, reminders, orders and door scans.
- hither:draft: The event you are making in Create event.
- hither:demo-settings: What the bank says to the next payment, and whether you have opened the demo panel.
- hither:plain-view: Whether you switched to plain view.
What Hither would keep
- Your name and email, so tickets and receipts reach you.
- Your orders, so passes work and refunds go to the right card.
- The last four digits of your card. The full number stays with the card processor; we never see it.
- Access and food needs you choose to share, only for the night you share them for.
Who sees it
- The host of a night you book sees your name, email and anything you added for them. Never your card or your other plans.
- Door staff see your name and ticket type when they scan you in.
- Friends only see that you’re going if you choose to share it.
Your rights
You could download everything we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account from Settings at any time. Orders would be kept for six years because tax law asks for it; everything else goes within 30 days.
