The short version

How buying, selling on and hosting would work on Hither, without the legal fog.

This site

Hither is a product concept by Be Confidency. The events, people, venues and prices are fictional, nothing you buy here is real, and no money moves. Use it to explore; please don’t rely on it to plan a night out.

Buying tickets

  • You buy from the host of the night. Hither sells on their behalf and looks after the payment.
  • The price shown includes every fee. What you see on the card is what you pay.
  • Refunds follow the host’s policy, shown on the event page and your pass. Most allow them up to 48 hours before.
  • If a night is cancelled, you get your money back automatically, to the card you paid with.

Passing tickets on

  • You can send a ticket to a friend for free. It moves to their phone and stops working on yours.
  • You can sell a ticket back at face value through Hither. Selling for more, here or anywhere else, can get the ticket cancelled.

Hosting

  • Listing is free. On paid tickets Hither keeps 5% and 87.5p per ticket, from inside your price. See pricing.
  • You are responsible for the night: the venue, its licence, safety and what you promise on the page.
  • New organizers and large events are checked before tickets go on sale. We may hold a payout while a problem is looked at, and we tell you why.
